Hello,

I am looking for a product such as buzzcast for a client of mine. Can you tell me what range of browsers is supported for your WYSIWYG html creation?

They use exclusively Mac's.

Thanks,
Michael

I know for certain that you can run ActivEdit with Virtual PC on a Mac. Right now that's the only way to ensure full support.

Some versions of IE, may work, though I haven't tested them. Feel free to sign up for the free trial account, and check out the WSYWIG editor on your clients pc.

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, my Customer's not that computer savvy, so I need to try to get the answer for them, and I don't have a Mac, they do -- I don't want to tell them 'try this out it might work'.

Since you mentioned ActivEdit I did a google search and went to the web site cfdev.com. Is this the company that supplies the technology?

If so, they mention that they do not support the Mac platform in their current product (v2.5). They are working on a Java version for 3.0 that would, however, it sounds like that version is not quite 'write once, run everywhere'. It would require you to have different versions of your aplication for Mac's and Navigator versus Windows/IE.

Yes, We Use CFDEV's activeedit. And, as soon as the come out with the Mac compatible version, we will be installing it.

I know it will work with the PC emulator... but i'm not sure about working with standard Mac OS and IE.

You can, of course, cut and paste HTML from Homesite or other freeware program into buzzcast, as an option for the couple of weeks until AvtiveEdit 3.0 comes out.

buzzcast's WYSIWYG editor is not currently supported on the MacOS, you will get the WYSIWYG window with a question mark and the HTML text that the template you selected before renders, but not any of the editing tools.

Basically, the HTML will work just fine if you import into buzzcast and send that way.

Hopefully, the'll support the MacOS soon.

I'm using a mac and haven't run into any problems. Is this one of those designing from template things? If that isn't supported, why not just use composer in netscape or something? It won't cost your customers anything more.

Thats a really good suggestion. Netscape Composer is free, and would work in leiu of our online editor.

Thanks for the tip!
