Members of the Slow Travel community meet on the message board to plan trips and talk about travel. They collect reviews of vacation rentals, hotels, and restaurants. They also use the forums to share their trip reports.

About the Administrator:

Pauline Kenny runs the Slow Travel website (slowtrav.com) and Message Board (slowtalk.com). She started the website in the spring of 2000 and the message board, on Groupee's UBB.classic, in June 2001. Since then the community has grown steadily and is now a popular internet destination for travelers. "Slow Travel" is about travel in Europe and the rest of the world, staying for one week at a time in a place in a vacation rental, instead of moving from hotel to hotel.

Pauline's background is software development, technical writing and web design. She has been working in the computer industry since the late '70s.
