Help!
I created a separate index html page to enhance my community. I created a link called "Login" on the index page and hyperlinked it to the main groupee forum page so that my members would have to register and log in. Now I don’t want anyone to register or have to log in, but I can’t find a way to unlink it. I had another web developer look at it and he could not figure the problem out.

I disabled the login feature on the communities as instructed. Then I changed the hyperlink on the index page, but no luck, which leave me to ask is there more than one step involved in eliminating the login making your community free and open to all?

Thanks,

Kara

I think we need more background info to give you a good answer, and/or we need to see what you are talking about. I suggest that you put in a support ticket for this.

As Don said, a ticket would be the most helpful. But it does sound like you have your permissions set to require registration in order to see or post anything on your site.

To check your permissions, go to your Groupee Community Control Panel >> Groupee Community >> Members >> Permissions Snapshot >> click on the Groupee Community link >> click on the Personal Permissions link >> look for the General Groupee Community Access and ensure that both the Guest and All Members column are checked. This will get everyone access to at least see the posts.

Now to let guests post as well you will need to go to Groupee Community >> Members >> Permissions Snapshot >> click on the Forums link >> click on the Personal Permissions link >> locate the General Access permission and ensure that both the Guests and All Members columns are checked. You can also go through and make sure to check the Guest columns for any permission you want your guests (anyone who is not logged in) to have.
