Can somebody help us figure out how to modify the PM notification tab at the top of the menu?

Right now, when a member logs into our site, the flashing envelope isn't noticable enough and many are missing out on messages.

We would like to either change the color of the tab or add something REALLY distracting to this area?

FYI -- I already updated it with a new .gif file, but the site appears to have eliminated the animation from "looping" and it doesn't flash?

Any suggestions appreciated!

The PM system for Groupee is one of those "I wish they would do this better" features. I have to agre, the PM notification system needs a little updating to make it more visible to the visitor.

I don't know many people that wait for a page to fully load before scrolling down to see the content. Because the PM notifier always seems to be the last thing to load, even after the admin tab loads, it is not easily seen unless the user happens to scroll up to the top of the page.

It would be nice to allow the member to choose a pop up notification like in phpbb or just the flashing image.

not all GIF files "flash"

In order to get your gif file to "flash" you need to have someone create a Gif animation using image layres... kind of like making a movie. all the layres get saved as one gif file, and depending on loop, rate, etc... you see it as flashing.

As an update Stonehaven was able to get some help from April through our ticketing system on this. She helped him use the CSS id name to stylize the PM notification so that it stood out more. StoneHaven, you mind sharing with everyone what you did?
