everytime i pick a style. like spookie, it wont load up and show as the new setup? what am i sposed to do to change these styles? so it will change?

You have to also assign that style to different parts of the community. I believe that there is an "assignments" link in the control panel located somewhere near where you changed the style.

Yes, in order to change the style that your eve application uses you will need to change the associations in:

CP -> eve -> Display -> Assignments
