I can embed YouTube video on a post on my board by wrapping the code in HTML tags, but I can only do this as admin - my members can't do this.

Exactly what html tags did you wrap around it as I cant seem to get this to work..

Thanks!

I just used the <HTML> tags before and after the embed code and it worked perfectly.

I can't embed you tube as admin, or user. What is the walk through exactly please someone. There is only one thread on this subject (this one) and maybe I'm dense, but I can't get this to work.

And where do you allow these certain tags?

Please be specific for us dense types.

Thanks!

just copy the code from You Tube and wrap the html tags around it <html> CODE </html>

example.

Obviously you must have html enabled for the forum.

Still unable to embed. HTML Allowed for all users, wrapped in tags. I'll get a ticket going.

Kate pointed out to me that the specific forums have to have the "disable html" box unchecked.

Now the embed works!

Hi all,

As usual, a great thanks to InfoPop / Groupee / Eve for keeping up with the Jones' Big Grin

I now have ewtube AND mpg files embedded! See:

http://givnology.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/80560593/m/7341...731006973#4731006973

I think it only takes the embedded file and text should be in a follow up post, at least in our forums, but we have flash banners going on and stuff. But I got it working!

The flv starts immediately, but it's not synced with the music, which is a drag, I wanted to see Liberace's fingers playing! The mpg seems more "real," but slow connections might like the flv player.. personally? I hate it as much as I love making .swf files.. that's a lot! Mad

I'm sure to keep contemporary everybody has to go with the unification standard.. but already I got a miserable example of what'll happen. In Maggle Music Forums, what do you think a person tested being able to embed youtube? Some stripper! Frown the lowest common denominator can reeeally be low...

Thanks Eve honey !

Regards, Teo Wink
