Visitors to my forum are telling me they no longer have permissions enabled that they use to. Avatars are an example. Many visitors currently have their own, however, their settings are telling them they do not have permission to edit them now.

Under Eve Control Panel » Profile Settings » Options » Avatar Selection » 'Use Avatar Sets and Allow Custom Avatars' is checked.

Anything else I should be looking at?

Hi Derry,

You'll want to check the permissions for avatars. In your control panel, go to:
Eve -> Members -> Permission Snapshot

Click Platform -> Personal Permissions.

Make sure that you've checked the box for the "Use Avatar" for All Members. If you want users to be able to upload avatars, then make sure that you also check the box for the "Can upload avatars to site" permission. Of course, your users will also need the "View Own MySpace", "Update Profile", and "General Eve Access" permissions.

Please let me know if that helps!

Hi Brian,

I went through all the settings, one was unchecked so I thought that solved the problem - apparently not. Please see the post here - any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Derry,

If you've got the permissions set up as I stated, and it's still not working, then I'd suggest opening a trouble ticket so that you can supply us with credentials of a user on your site with this problem. It'll help us in getting the problem resolved quicker. You can open a new trouble ticket here:
