Hello
Being in a time zone 8 hours ahead of Seattle and living in a country that calls New Year's Eve 31/12/04 not 12/31/04 I probably notice this more than most, but I'd like to see the application of date and time zone preferences spread a little wider across eve. There are currently several places where USA date formats and Pacific times are still displayed, some examples below: Some time zone anomalies:
Some date format anomalies:
If these, and all others, could be displayed to match the preferences we've set in the Eve Master Settings it would present a much friendlier feel to us foreigners dotted around the world. Many thanks Paul |

You bring up a good point. I would like to add though, the date data-entry fields throughout the application use ISO 8601 format (YYYY-MM-DD). I wouldn't expect to see that change, as it's a pretty major format.

I believe you'll see a change in sveral of the date format issues you mention in version 1.2

I would like to conceid Steven's point. We purposefully use that standard for all date entries and even provide a nifty Javascript date selector that will pre-populate it with a selected date to simplify things.
Though I can understand your frustration with trying to shift gears. I believe that the Photo-Album headings have been changed in the 1.2 release, and I will add in a task to confirm that the other places in the control panel have been updated to use the user preference JS. Thanks for the list, Jonmark Weber Developer Groupee, Inc. |
