I'd like to suggest a change/upgrade for the next version of EVE.
We have a moderated forum, and everything waits in a queue until a moderator approves/deletes each post. I just created a moderator's forum for any posts that are questionable. We move any post to that forum until all the moderators weigh in on what to do with it. However, when the post is still in the moderator's queue, we need to first approve it to the regular forum and then move it to the moderator's forum. I'd like to suggest that we have an option for the posts to be moved to whichever forum we choose, while it's still in the queue. I don't need 2-3 posters to read it in the time frame that we have to move it from the regular forum to the moderators. Thank you |

Just to clarify a bit...your dilemma is that you want input from more than one mod before things are approved from the queue, and there isn't a place to have that discussion within the queue itself?
Would you consider it more efficient to have like a "notes" field attached to content that goes in the queue, where mods could put in their two cents, and then the final decision-maker approves it...so it automatically goes where the poster intended it? (I'm not saying this will be a feature...just wanting to hear your thoughts so that when the gang considers this idea they have all the facts). Under your current system, how do your mods "weigh in"? Do you start a discussion in your private forum, separate from the queue item? |
