I'm new to the service and am wondering if there's a "sandbox" for testing customizations?

I cloned an existing style, but it looks like the only way to see it applied is to apply it to my production site.

I'd prefer our users not see styles changing from one HTTP response to the next.

Since you can apply a different style to each forum, I usually create a hidden forum to test out new display options.

When you edit a forum, there's an option to "hide" the forum. Users won't see the forum unless they go directly to the URL, while you can view it any time you want by clicking the "view" link in the "forum details" screen in your control panel.

Once you've created the hidden forum, you can test out a new style you've created by applying it here:

Eve > Display > Assignment
