I would like to display the number of, and maybe the names of, the forum members online in real time, on my website's home page(s).

Groupee support said the check here to see if anyone knows how to do this.

Can't you use a content island for this purpose?

Go to your Groupee control panel and then go to forums - content management - content islands. Click new content island and online now for content type and then you should be able to customize it a little more to your preference.

It will create javascript that you can load on your home page.

The only problem is that it is not accurate. Any ideas? It is showing many more people online than are actually there.

How many people are it showing as online? How many do you think it should show?

Can you give links to the content island and to your forums so we can see if there is a problem?

We had to remove it from our site. It didn't work at all. I will have to figure out another way to drive people there.
