Since the update, my old html isn't compatible, and I have been forced to use CSS. I don't know CSS. I want my header to look like this:
http://www.militaryspot.com/forumheaderm.htm

But when I plug it into the custom html it looks like this:
http://military-forums.net/eve/ubb.x/a/frm/f/901107241
and
http://military-forums.net/eve/ubb.x/a/tpc/f/901107241/m/740108522

Anyone venture to see what is wrong with my code?

I'm hoping that there won't be any more upgrades. I was happy before the upgrade. My html worked and I had post counts.

Please don't blame the upgrade on this !!

You have perfectly good code but ...

You included HTML, HEAD and BODY tags. This will break almost anything.

You want only the display elements for the title and banners -- not the HTML page definition elements.

1) Put the rel links in the HEAD area of the style where they belong.
2) Get rid of the HTML, META and BODY tags.
3) Close your opening TABLE tag!

It is much advised not to try this in Frontpage. You will need to put togther correct HTML by hand I think.

Well, I'm not blaming the upgrade for my obviously bad code, but with the upgrade the forums have inherently become harder for novices such as myself to use. I know there are many webmaster "experts" that use your forums, but I've also seen questions from your customers with even less knowldege than me. I don't know how they get along. Anyway, I'm hiring someone to go through my code.

Thanks for your time and sorry for the trouble.

At the risk of robbing the college student you were going to hire ....

You have it 98% there but with a few glaring errors that can be fixed easily. I wasn't sure what your level of HTML was so didn't want to offend. If you'd like we'll take a stab at it for you.

If you put in a ticket with the login and draw to my attention in the notes -- we'll take a look. It may take only a few minutes for an Infopop engineer to tweak.

Thanks, I'll do that. Actually, if you can believe it, the guy I hired is in India!
