Our next update for eve, version 1.2.15, will be adding enhance the poll feature. Eve will support multiple questions per poll, as well as more poll answers.

This release is currently in beta testing and should be pushed out to all customers soon.

Is there any possibility of creating a poll where users can write-in new choices?

A regular poll is usually not interesting because it's really only the poll creator's ideas being voted on. The participants can only say what they think of the poll creator's ideas, not they're own. Ie., it's mostly a top-down communication and therefore, not very interactive.

Forums are truly interactive, but too noisy for most casual participants to wade through.

The Internet needs some sort of opinion coalescing scheme so that a large group of people can easily see the most interesting ideas from their group.

I think a write-in poll might be the way to do this.
