Some upgrades are more complex than others. For example a dedicated server with one site -- even a large one -- is easier to upgrade than a cluster with hundreds of shared sites.

I see the smiley so I assume that the comment was a joke about how late in the schedule the upgrade for your server is? If so, as Michael noted earlier, there is was some reasoning to our madness in the scheduling...but it if the upgrades go very smoothe then the possibility does exist for much of it to be moved up. Patience is a virtue....(one that I lack...but a virtue none-the-less Big Grin)

Thanks,
Denise

Mebbe I'm just asking for the moon AND the stars with this request... but would it be possible to notify us if our scheduled update date is expected to change by more than 24 hours ±?

It'll save my inbox from being inundated with nanosecond-by-nanosecond descriptions of what is/isn't happening by some of my more... ummm... "stickler for detail" Members, shall I say?

My apologies for the confusion surrounding the intial post in this thread and its subsequent change. Since the potential for a more time efficient schedule does exist, we have removed the server by server post as it may not remain accurate for very long. We will send everyone an e-mail at least 24 hours prior to their site's scheduled upgrade date. Additionally, please check your control panel main pages for more information (to be posted soon).

Best Regards,
Denise

I remembered to remove it from my other signatures...missed this one...of course, It does tell you
-the upgrades will occur starting on the 7th and will be done by ten days later
- it does tell you that you will be notified via e-mail at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled time
- it does tell you that a note will be posted to your control panel regarding the upgrades...

So all in all, its still quite useful SmileBut thanks for the heads up! Big Grin
