I have a member who wants to change his e-mail address and isn't able to.

When I try to change it I get this

quote:
The email address you entered does not have a corresponding Groupee user

Sounds almost like he has to reregister, but I don't think he should have to.

I have changed other member e-mail address but this is the first time I've encountered this.

Can anyone help?

It sounds like what they are actually doing is switching the email address in their profile. Switching allows a member to associate a different Groupee Login Account with their community membership. So it is not simply changing the email address that's used to login.

Instead they probably want to change the email address for their Groupee Login Account. To do that they need to click the Edit link in the Groupee Credentials section of their profile. Alternately they can go to http://account.groupee.com and login, then simply chage the email address. After submitting the change, their email status will change to "unverified," which means they may not be able to login to your community until their verify the new email address.

I am an assitant admin on a groupee hosted site and am quite amazed that you have compounded what was such a simple task into a struggle of titanic proportions. The reasoning behind this befuddles me quite simply and perturbs me to no end that I can no longer help out a site member. I own my own forum hosted elsewhere and left another domain because of such tactics that were fiested upon the site owners. Pulling "owner" capabilities and having to rely on a remote face that may or may not help the member reflects badly upon who? ME,not your support staff.
I am experiencing just such a run-around right this minute with the follow the bouncing ball run around that was previously simple and fast help that is now quite frustrating. I implore you to simplify and at least let the site admins help the membership once again.

Hi, 45nut:

It's not clear to me whether or not you have submitted a support ticket, or asked your member to submit a support ticket, but I can't find one.

I would encourage you to do so, here.
