Any new improvment for Groupee planned for the next few months?

Like the Groupee Site Directories, more lanauges etc???

A very timely question. Yes, there are indeed improvements coming. Some things we are working on for the next couple of months:

-- Groupee Internationalization - support for multiple languages.
-- Global Content Search - ability to search content across all Groupee-networked communities. This search may also return site-related matches.
-- Improvements to the Groupee transition/conversion process that should make things MUCH easier for sites moving to groupee from non groupee systems.
-- Improvements to the Groupee login/registration page so that the styles match the site's eve style.

We have already begun work on these projects, but it is bit too early for me to say exactly when you can expect to see all of these changes.

Question on global content search...

I assume by global, you mean really global, all of the groupee sites as a whole. Just wondering if there will be ways to produce custom "global" searches for only specific groupee sites.

In my case as you know, with my 50 sites, it would be tremendous if there was a way I could put a search box on one or some of my sites that search across just those 50 sites.

Yes I really did mean global. Your particular scenario is not covered by the current spec for that search, but it is something we can kick around as an idea.

Keep in mind that the global search for groupee sites that I mentioned is intended more as an outside search, whereas you are looking for more of an internal search. Anything is possible, of course.

Would this be optional? meaning that we would be able to turn this global search feature off in our sites, and to be excluded from the global search.

The global search will not be part of your particular eve community. Rather, it will be used more from our site to help people find community content and sites. Thus, there would be no risk of having people leave your site while visiting it based on a global search.

Groupee Search - With the release of GC 2.0, I suggest that provide the ability to search for a specific type of content. For example, i can search for something in just the blog article, or search for something just in the forum.

This maybe something to consider to add into normal GC search feature as well.

You can already search for content in just Discussions (Topics), Polls, or Photo Albums. I would image any new content types in 2.0 will offer search restrictions as well.
