Will Infopop release API for Groupee? Umm..I mean for those software developer who want to build application using the Groupee loign system, without the need that they must have "Eve".

I think SixApart did a very successful API for TypeKey, which is their own authentication system similar to Groupee.

When more application build around Groupee, I am sure more sites would choose to switch to the Groupee system. If promote well, I am sure more developer will developer application or services for Groupee, which will benefit the majority of Eve users.

While it's possible we may develop a Groupee API down the road, we don't have any plans in the near future to develop an external Groupee API. In the meantime, you can always use the Eve Simple Authentication API to authenticate with Groupee via your Eve site.
