well, its my first board, and i think it looks genric. i was hoping that you guys/gals could give me some tips to make it look alittle bit better.(more like da bomb) like different colors put some hacks on it, anything. please, post any of your comments, or email me them to mars_god_o_war@yahoo.com |

Well, the bright blue and bright green on the dark background maybe a little too bright. Definitely could use some custom graphics. Try looking through the UBB theme sets they've compiled in the graphics database over at http://www.ubbdev.com
If your board is in regards to a particular high school or high school system it might make sense to make that more obvious. If this is the case, picking school colors as a theme might be a good idea too. ------------------ |

thats what i thought about. our colors are orange and white. kinda like this board. well, basically this board is for fun, so that ordinary people from school can go there and post messages. (N E kind od messages) my school doesnt know about it, because as soon as they find out, it will be taken off. but i will look at the site you suggested, and think about the colors. thanx.
p.s. its a newsite, no one really knows about it, just me and a moderator, we have to find a way of making known to people, so dont think im a dork because it has no messages. |

Interesting, unless you're using a school's server and you don't specifically mention the school's name on your site I don't see how they would have any rights or abilities to take it down.
As far as advertising, flyers around school and word-of-mouth should do nicely. Something to think about ------------------ |

you see, at school we have this program called IGEAR. igear is a filter. last year we had a site that had a message board. on this message board, people would post "bad things" about other people. so the school decided to filter it out. plus, i dont want people to know its me who created the site, its supposed to be a "mysterious" thing.

I suggest that you delete the
Default Admin5 4tugboat account, before anyone tries to (Language! -navaho) up your board even more  And btw. To make good themesand lay-out's CSS Could help. Take my advice... Do not use Virtualave! They deleted me because I had a UBB on there. I will never trust them again. F2S.com is better
