Cool board dctalksolo. The only thing I'd recommend is changing your light bulbs to one for a dark background. You can find them at ubbdev.com.

Thanks for sharing dctalksolo!

This board brought me back a few years. My mom bought me a tape of this band when I was in middle school, or early high school -- something of that sort. It took me a good few minutes of browsing before it clicked! Too funny.

I agree with JC, the board looks great & you seem to have a lot of activity going on.

Nice work!

It's worth checking out our boards again as we're going through a big redesign. It's been a great way to bring the community together and the new style has been a 'team' effort with lots of input from our moderators and community members.

It looks really good! What would you say is your biggest change? I see you've turned on the "Online Now" feature. It's great, huh? smile

Well I've pretty much changed everything, from our HTML header, through to the whole color scheme, and have customized nearly every Graphic...I'm determined to get every one changed smile

We've Wordlet'ed MyPop to MyBeatMixing....and now people are using this feature.

Very nice!! The colors go very well with your graphic at the top, and I love the images you've used to replace the lightbulbs!

I dont know how many of you are into fishing but I have a fishing forum. It's still fairly new and there are several very good fishing boards so it will take a while to grow. The members are great though and more are joining regularly. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Very nice site, and UBB. I'm not a big fisherman, but my parents are. I may have to order up some shirts for them. They've retired to a lake in northeast Oklahoma (Lake of the Cherokees aka Grand Lake).

I don't think I've ever actually posted here..

http://forums.3drealms.com

(That autoforwards to the actual URL for the UBB). I've done some nice framing to integrate the boards and make 'em look like part of the web site (main URL is http://www.3drealms.com).

Unfortunately, the forums are "wider" than the main web site. The main web site was designed that way to fit into a specific width. I tried putting the forums in there, but with the added width taken away on the left side for the menu structure, I couldn't keep the forums blocked into 750 pixels like the web site is - the forums are a 99% width.

Our little site started as a java script board that had no logins or anything. We hit critical mass and the owner of the board bought UBB and upgraded. That was a year and a half ago. Since then the owner has sold the site, which became emensely popular thanks in no small part to our UBB community. As luck would have it a very good friend of mine became the new owner. We spend a great deal of time moderating and enhancing the board. Now, after a very recent upgrade, our member list is growing faster than ever.

We are still a in a bit of information overload with the board but everyone is terribly excited about all the new gizmos!

Hey All:

This is a pretty neat thread. I run a board for collectors of non-sport trading cards as well as readers of the magazine we publish on the subject called Non-Sport Update (shameless plug: on sale now at your local Borders and Barnes & Noble).

Non-Sport cards are trading cards like baseball cards only they show movies, TV, nostalgia, comic books, artists, and many other things. Some of the most popular ones are Star Wars, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Xena, Star Trek, etc.

My UBB board is a UBB.x board with very little modification (I really liked the default scheme; or maybe I'm lazy -- you pick!). We switched over from UBB.Classic a few months ago.

Here's my board.

Thanks for looking and sharing.

Harris

G'day Harris!

You should check out my dear friend Mark's new site, Cinequest.com. He's into the same stuff you are, and has some deals w/ some of the card companies etc. Maybe you guys can make some trades. Tell him I sent you. wink

Cheers,
K
