Want to know when someone "Reports a Post" when you're not online?

Here's what you can do...

1. Register a "mock" moderator account
2. For the email address for this account profile, enter the number for your wireless-enabled device (cell phone or pager)

Now, when someone Reports a Post, you’ll receive the alert on your cell phone or pager.

This might be extreme for some, but if you’re going to be away from the computer for an extended time, this could help you out.

Note: Because of the character limitations for your device, you probably won’t be able to read all of the message, but at least you’ll know a user is reporting something.

I don't receive many "bogus" alerts, so this works for me. If you do, you probably don’t want to set this up.

Very cool tip! Thanks for sharing that one. I assume you're using UBB.x?

Actually, based on your URL, you're running UBB.classic (rather than UBB.x). Did you do any code magic to get this going?

Oops, sorry. I meant Classic.

No code changes required.

As I described above, it’s simply a matter of putting in a text-messaging # (for cell or pager) in a moderator’s email field.
