So. Someone on your forum is linking to things on YouTube that you KNOW must be in some sort of copyright violation..... what're everyone's thoughts on that? While you're not the one that uploaded the media... you're still linking to it and drawing attention to content that's surely illegal under copyright law....
Opinions? Thoughts? How's everyone handling this? |

I'd check your TOS to make sure, but if you're concerned about it at all you could probably at the very least edit the user's post to take away the direct link. If you did that, of course, a note to the poster would also be in order.
The best thing to do if you suspect copyright infringement is to contact the copyright holder directly so that they can contact the actual site hosting the content themselves. As a third party, you won't have any legal standing to report a violation. Paul Gude Groupee Guide |
