The Jimmie Spheeris Memorial Gallery ( http://www.art101.com/jimmie.htm ) started out as a little two-page experiment. I was hoping to find other fans of the late Columbia Epic recording artist, in order to replace copies of my old vinyl LPs.

Something amazing happened.

Tens of thousands of people began to visit. CNN ran a story about the site, when Sony Music, current owner of Jimmie's catalog, agreed to release all four albums on CD through Rain Records. An important body of work was preserved and reborn. I was asked to do the CD graphics through my design studio. Amazing.

Jimmie was a close friend before a drunk driver killed him in 1984. I never imagined the web back then. I love the web.

We recently upgraded our little freeware version of the UBB to a full version and are very pleased. Stop by, listen to some music in QuickTime, and say hello at the Online Forum link of the home page.
