Groupee Newbie
Posted
I'm the assistant administrator of a Groupee community -- http://www.aantares.com -- and I've kinda found myself in charge since our senior administrator seems to have disappeared, and here's my problem. Since the most recent Groupee update, several of my regulars can't get back on, and I don't know what to tell them to do. Here's a sample letter:

I had been away from Aantares for a time due to my having to devote extra time to some personal and business matters, but when I recently tried going back to the site, I was told to again register with Groupee, since my old handle was not valid for unknown reasons Since then I have registered with Groupee under two different email addresses and I continue to be denied entry into Aantares because it claims that my membership hasn't been approved. Is this something new?? Who approves memberships??

Can anyone help?

It sounds like the board setup includes administrative approval of registration. That means that there are registrations in the approval queue. If you have the proper permissions, it would be here:
Control Panel>>Groupee Community>>Members>>Approval Queue

TheOldMole,

That sounds like the exact same problem that I ran into. I was a current member and tried to register in mid-November to access Aantares with a Groupee account. Oddly, it told me that my username (OldMan) was already linked to a Groupee account. In any case, I registered but have been unable to log in. I then sent two emails to Admin@aantares.com and got no response. I did eventually get one email from CJ with some suggestions that didn't work. I have since sent a couple of emails to CJ's email but gotten no reply. Let me know if you hear anything on how to get around this problem. Anyhow, it was good to run into you here.
