What has been the most interesting or controversial topic your community has encountered?

I find that religious topics often degrade into flame wars. If anyone has been able to moderate a successful debate on the subject then I commend you.

I enjoyed it. And you spelled my name right.

Unfortunately practically anything degrades into a flame war at CG.

If you start a topic about the sunny weather, you'll get a heated argument about which party made it shine or some conspiracy about the sun being a mirage generated at a studio in area 51.
