On the "who's online" page, the administrator can see first all registered users, then all anonymous users.
For the anynymous, it shows the IP number. I'm trying to make the IP number apear on the Registered users too but no sucess so far.
I would like it to appears only to the administrator, not to moderators or users in general.
Someone can give me a tip on that?
The reazon is that I have one fellow who is being anoing the forum, creating new ID/e-mail every time I ban him, and I was wondering if showing the IP on the registered users I could get him faster, before he puts the bad messages on the forum.
Thank you

The quick answer is that there isn't a way to make registered users' IP numbers appear in who's online.

I guess you already know you can see a registered user's last IP by looking at their profile, or at a recent post, but it seems you want to be quicker than that.

I've dealt with a lot of troublemakers over the years, and my recommendation to you is a coupla things: the next time you ban him/her, temporarily screen registrations and don't approve any that look suspicious. This will be a small inconvenience to your normal users, but will weed out the jerk before he can get in. This usually will make them bored, and they go away.

Another possible idea is to ban "freebie" email addresses, if the guy is using those to pester you. Are you using email verification? Sometimes just using that will keep out the riff-raff.

And finally, can I point you in the direction of our special UBB.threads support community? It's here: http://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/ubbthreads.php
..and you can find a huge group of UBB.threads admins who might have more good road-tested advice for you!

Hope this helps you keep your community clear of your troublemaker Smile
