Who here allows attachments on their site? To date, I have not allowed them, but was considering allowing Admins and Moderators to post them, and then allowing registered users to actually download them. We thought about using them to share screensavers, sounds, etc.

I don't anticipate a large number of them actually being posted, but had a few questions about them.

• Are the attachments stored as blobs in the MySQL database, or are they stored in a folder on the webserver somewhere?
  
• If a post containing an attachment is deleted, will the attachment be cleaned up off of the server?
  
• Aside from the bandwidth and potential virus concerns, anything else to worry about?
