But I'm surprised you have't had though. Specialy considering the amount of users in your form and the fact that most of them are eager to have a board of their own.

The banners (although they must have clicked them in the first place)
The price?
The fact the price is displayed in $ and not £
I dont know, but I'd to know if there has been any marked success
I have talked to some users about this, and from what I could gather, the two main reasons behind the lack of success of this campaign is the fact that most members that frequent our boards are relatively young lads, most of them don’t have access to a credit card. If there was a different billing method I’m sure this inhibition problem could be solved. Another thing that seems to be putting people off is the belief that the price that is being displayed is only the board rental price, and believe it or not, most users believe that bandwidth is charged separately. Also the price being displayed in $ is definitely a good way to keep people uninterested.
I don’t know if I’m committing any infraction here, but I’m going to try and change the banners price $ to £ by graphically editing the advert, and see if I get a positive response. Marc bud, if this is allowed by Infopop, I’m sending you the edited banners for your site as well. :
One of the things that

Sorry, my supervisor just got in the room whe I was finishing the sentence!
I can't imagine editing the banner would be a problem, but I'll alert Judd this way just in case.
I think Pedro is probably right about audiences. If your community is directed towards a fan or hobby site.. or youngings... perhaps the chance of these users starting their own boards or sites may be slightly less than those of a business nature. But then again, when they see what awesome communities you guys are cultivating, maybe they will start desiring their own! Hrm...

You know Pedro, I've tried to go to your site a number of time and then stopped short of regsitering. I think today is the big day!

Cheers Natalia!
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my site.
Weren't you able to get the regestry process going?
I'm a bit confused...none of our "canned" Inner Circle banners have any dollars/prices on them. Are you talking about the Commission Junction banner that says "You + (affiliate program) = $$"?

Yes, I'd actually love to figure out what would drive more people to actually purchase after clicking. I did some investigating yesterday, and in our Commission Junction program (which has been around longer than the Inner Circle program), the highest rate of return is for the simple "click here" link , not for any of the spiffy banners.
The issue of ordering in non-US currency is indeed a problem we're aware of; however, with changing exchange rates and a host of other logistical issues it's been tough for us to move on that.

I have been studying the banner industry trend and I found a couple of very interesting articles that reflect a little buit of what is goig on here. Specialy the fact that the sompler banners are the ones that are having greater success rates.
My issue I think isnt even that people dont click the banner, they seem to do that ok
It's when they get to the page after that I have no idea what is going on.
Fluctuating exchange rates are of course a problem, can you not link to an external source to obtain the rates (and add a clause to the page that confirms the price displayed may change due to changes in exchange rates?_

That would be a great idea. But I do think that if people had the proper exchange conversion made on the banner, they would have a better idea of what kind of pricing we were talking about prior to clicking on the banner.
