I have been through every screen and I cannot figure out how to grant admin privileges to a member. Also have no idea where to find "help" information.

Hi Donna:
To grant admin privileges: You'll need to do this with Permissions. First, determine what you want them to be an admin of. Do you want them to have all administrative powers, over everything (as much power has you have)? Or do you just want them to be an administrator on the forums? Go to the user's profile and go to Permissions. Then, depending on what you want them to be an administrator over, navigate into that section (Eve, Forums, Chat, etc). Under the Administrative Permissions heading, the first permission should be what you want. If you want the user to be a Super Admin (admin over everything), that permission is found under Eve>>Administrative Permissions. Regarding help information, are you asking about changing the Help section on your boards, or are you asking about finding our support documentation? Documentation can be found here. ****************** Kate Thaete Groupee Guide - Virtuoso Groupee, Inc. |

Thank you, Kate. It was staring me in the face the entire time.

Hi Kate,
Can you post how to give banning privleges to moderators? I can see where I have banning privleges, but for some reason on our board our mods do not have that right. Our admin is rarely around, and we had a situation that needed attention quickly, and all I could do was moved threads. If you post the instructions, I can copy and paste them over to the mod's forum and he will figure it out. Thanks much in advance! |

Hi, Kathy:
To give a member the Ban Members permission, go the that member's profile and on the left side of the page, click Permissions. In the Permission Browser, click "Eve", "Administrative Permissions", and then "Ban Members." In the pop-up dialog, select Grand This Permission and press Update. Let me know if you have any further questions. Note that this same permission can be given to groups, as well. |
