We had a problem on the Aztec cluster at about 3:30AM. Looks like the database locked up on a request. We restarted the database and all appears well again.

You saved me the bother of telling you. It was the first time in many many months I'd seen the dreaded 'server unavailable' message. Testiment to how reliable OT has been since all those problems early on!

Thanks to Jonmark also. He is carrying the pager and responded to the original page. Sometimes those he and our other ops folks (Don and Jeff) are up all night looking into server problems, yet they still show up for work at 7AM ready for more!

The reliability lately is due as much to their efforts as it is to bug fixes in Oracle, faster OpenTopic software and improved Linux kernels (not necessarily in that order)!
