This new code base involves a large reorganization of database tables and
will require a more lengthy downtime than usual for an upgrade.

We estimate approximately 8 hours of service unavailability. However, we have reserved up to a 12 hour maintenance window for the /3 Zhou server and 15 hours for the /1 Aztec server. We expect the process to be much faster than this but want to prepare for any unexpected events. During this time the OpenTopic™ service will be unavailable and your users will see a message page about the upgrade.

No member or message information will be lost and the system team is standing by to make sure the process is as speedy as possible. We appreciate your patience during this process and ask you to let your community know in advance about this upgrade.

Hi All. Last minute checks complete. I'm a couple of minutes away from pulling the trigger (at which point I'll be taking down the app servers). I'll keep everyone posted here on any deviations from the above timeline.

The Zhou cluster is back up now (as of 2110 a 70 minute outage in all). Let me know if anyone has any problems.

The Aztec update is taking longer (the cluster is a bigger than zhou) but still looks to be proceeding to plan (or a bit faster).

Aztec just brought back up after about 3 hours of update. Again, let us know if there are any problems. Enjoy!
