/0 customers will find that their logs are currently unavailable entirely, while /2 & /3 customers will find that anything after April 3rd is not currently available.
This will be rectified ASAP (should be completed Monday, but we'll keep this thread posted with updates). quote: Fair enough, though, I find myself having a difficult time answering this, as I've no idea of your technical proficiency. Keeping this in mind, here is my first attempt at explaining it. A "Web Log" is the webserver's log of each request to it for your site. This could be a graphic (JPG, GIF, etc), an HTML page, some java script, or, naturally, a request to OpenTopic itself. Each log entry has a number of useful information associated with it. Such as who requested it (IP address), what the requestor was last looking at--often referred to as the "referring page", size (minus headers) of the response sent (used for bandwidth calculations) and more. Various customers find these logs invaluable sources of information when parsed and correlated for whatever bit of information is desired. Unfortunately due to the migrations, it's been nearly impossible to keep the log parsers processing properly, requiring quite a bit of system administrator time which is sometimes in short supply. Let me know if you have any further questions! UPDATE
Due to a rather busy morning/afternoon, this work item has been necessarily delayed. Progress has been made, however, though the task is far from over. Logs are being transferred now. There will hopefully be enough to begin processing by tomorrow. Thanks, -Don Aldrich Technology Group Infopop Corporation 01001001 00100000 01110111 01101111 01101110 01100100 01100101 01110010 00100000 01101001 01100110 00100000 01100001 01101110 01111001 01101111 01101110 01100101 00100000 01101000 01100001 01110011 00100000 01100101 01110110 01100101 01110010 00100000 01100100 01100101 01100011 01101111 01100100 01100101 01100100 00100000 01110100 01101000 01101001 01110011 00111111 |

UPDATE
Log transfers are complete (this includes the last 6 months of parsed logs for /0, /1, /2 & /3 as well as raw logs for /4 & /5). ~50% of log rotate/parse routines have been updated to reflect the current operating environment. Next step will be to introduce all the different logs into the environment (e.g.: move old parsed logs into existing directory structures; parse new logs from raw logs generated from various servers). If we have a quiet day tomorrow, logs for all customers should be available tomorrow, clear back to 2002/09/01. Naturally, developments will be posted here.
