Index Rebuilds
We have a problem with the database that appears to be behind some of the early morning outages we've been experiencing on the /1 Aztec database.

We've worked with our DBAs and Oracle to come up with a plan of attack. The first item on that list is to rebuild certain database indexes.

This maintenance should not cause any downtime. However, response times may be affected (hopefully not too badly). Also, word searches on messages during the rebuild processing will not find any matches on messages prior to the index rebuild (make sense?).

2.3 Update (or lack thereof) this weekend
You may notice that there is no 2.3 update announcement for /1 Aztec (or other clusters) this weekend. We wanted to get this index rebuild behind us first. Also, we've been making some performance improvements on the code (including, hopefully, a reduction of the time the update itself takes to run).

Yup. Our DBA rebuilt the index (took a good few hours but its a big index!) There is another table that needs some index rebuilds, but those require downtime and I'll try to schedule them for the 2.3 update.
