Cluster:/4 (Maya)
Start Date/Time:2002/04/08 ~02:30 PST (Monday morning)
Duration:2 hours
Impact/Outage:Negligible
Summary:Minor software configuration and network topology changes

We will be conducting maintenance on some /4 (Maya) servers. The maintenance is not expected to impact production services, however there is a slight chance that uploads and/or customer XSL may be slightly out of sync for a brief period in time. An even more remote possibility will be degradation in performance.

Again, however, in all likelihood, there will be negligible customer impact with this maintenance.

As per usual, additional updates will be posted here if needed as well as notification of completion.

Thanks,
-Don Aldrich

First, allow me to apologize, all times posted are now PDT, not PST.

During maintenance, we ran into a show stopper regarding a piece of 3rd party software. There was a brief period of down time while we were trouble shooting and assessing the problem.

Hopefully we will resolve the problem during the day, and be able to complete this maintenance successfully tonight. Otherwise there may be a bit of a delay while we obtain and QA replacement software.

I'll keep everyone posted in this topic.

Thanks,
-Don Aldrich

We have ascertained the source of the problem and have a method for resolution. This was determined long ago despite the tardiness of this update.

The topic Subject has been updated with the new maintenance time (2002/04/08 @ 23:30 PDT). This means we will be conducting the maintenance shortly.

As before, no outage is anticipated. Further more, we've updated our post maintenance testing to more quickly determine problems of the kind that happened previously.

Maintenance completed successfully and with negligible customer impact.

Regardless, we will keep this topic open until later today in case currently unseen problems arise.
