I was approving a new Member request and clicked "Submit" in "Pending Membership Requests" page - after about 20 seconds I got this error page:

I then went pack to the "Membership Requests" page and the new Member detail was gone (like it was approved successfully).

My question is - did that email get sent out?

When I try and Approve them again, via Member Management page, I get this:

Hi David

That email did not go out. We'll follow up on that. I'm not getting an error in sending out emails right. Will you click that approval again [it won't hurt] and let me know if you get the same error?

Ok, thanks. I get the same error saying the member has already been moderated when I select "approve membership" from the "Member List" page and then choose "Approve Membership Application" from the pull-down in the "Choose a Member Management Task:" section. I have to do it that way, as the Member is no longer listed in the "Pending Membership Requests" section.

It also appears topic notifications are not going out again (Shang /2)....since around 10:30am PST - perhaps it's related to the above error? In anycase, need those restarting too Thanks.

I got that message trying to signup at a /4 board that looked interesting. This is from a user pov completely. I am unable to complete my registration because of this.

The exact same thing just happened a moment ago as described in my previous message above and also the same behaviour occurs as in my second message above.

Is this a bug or a servlet gone haywire?

Now I'm getting the same error when trying to update a member's profile (a new member, just prior to approving the membership request).

It seems an odd time to see the error, as I didn't think an email would need to be sent at that point.

I'm also logged out once I click on "Go Back" - the logon screen is immediately presented.

Anyway, this error is occuring quite frequently now....so please can you look into it as I'm unable to Approve new members until it's resolved.

EDIT:

This must be servlet related....because now when I try using the "Forgotten Password" feature...it gives me the same error. So it's what ever is controlling the email function
