Does Infopop submit our communities to Websense database?
My bulletin board members report, that they cannot access my community anymore. The community is now became blocked by Websense. I am trying to find out who makes submissions to Websence database. I think it is unfair, because I do not have any adult materials on my BBS, and I have the filter on to filter out all seven dirty words, not like my members use them anyway. |

No, we don't submit the data anywhere. The terms of service are quite explicit about you 'owning' your data and being entirely responsible for its content. We don't check data going into your community or funnel information to *any* third party.
I'm not familiar with websence [never heard of it]. Having said all that -- I've seen your boards many times and can't imagine what's objectionable!!

I took a look at websense and figured out what *might* be objectionable. You're too much fun
Websence is a service for *businesses* to keep employees from using time and bandwidth on non-business items. Porn of course tops the list but I can imagine 'recreational' pursuits like jeeping being off limits for business internet use. Michael Farris |

Thank you Michael! It is very good to know that Infopop does not submitt our boards to the censoring services. Do you think it is ok, if I fight them by changing the community .atinfopop.com domain? Would there be a lot of overhead on the Infopop cluster if I do that frequently?
