I have two question regarding the private/public custom fields.
1) I believe that only 60 characters (including spaces) can be entered into the private/public custom fields. Is there a way to increase this limitation. I would like to ask specific questions at the registration process that are unique to my community but they are too long for the current fields. 2) Is there a way to create drop down menus (with pre-defined answers) for people to select when they answer the questions I place in the private/public custom fields? Many Thanks, agpadmin |

The 60 you see is the limit of the *title* you can use for the data not the data itself. You can experirment by downloading the HTML removing the MAXLENGTH value. The worst that can happen is that OpenTopic™ securiy will chop off any extra you put in.
There will be some physical limits to the length of information you can put into those data fields. Probably 250 characters is it. It is possible to modify the stylesheet to include dropdowns. This is only possible if you have a plan which allows you to modify the stylesheets directly. Another workaround is to create you own registration form in HTML and link to that. Michael Farris |
