First of all -- I like the new design and features. Definitely a nice improvement overall, I think.

Some questions/concerns

1. Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but posting option/button icons (URL insert, quote, bold, ital, etc.) at top of message posting window are black text on dark background. Can't read. Even the ones in this bulletin board are dark blue/black font.

My customized colors, when converting to 3X, converted these buttons to darker purple/black font. Can the icons be changed to white (reverse) font text -- or can we somehow do this ourselves.

2. I agree with others in this forum that the small "globe" icon was hard to find and function not clear -- and already have had numerous questions from participants on my board asking where to find the "last posts/today's active posts" feature. I'd suggest going back to text link for those features rather than a hard-to-find icon.

3. Another question. To keep costs low, I've disabled (or I think I have) the option for users to receive e-mail notifications for topic posts they've "subscribed to" -- yet, this option still shows up in the "My Space" options. Can this be disabled so users don't even know this option exists? (It would also have to be removed from the "help/faq" section.

4. One more question: In the Profile options, it gives option for users to create/add "no spam" to their e-mail address. My bulletin board is behind a password-protected area for members of an association. There really is no need for the "no spam" e-mail option -- I can handle anyone who abuses the system by spamming other users and it is causing problems for those who want other members to e-mail them -- and they have no valid e-mail address because they created an invalid e-mail address by adding "no spam" as suggested. How can I delete this option from the Profile settings?

That's about it. Again, I think the new design is great. Thanks for all your support, Infopop folks.

re. 1) "can we somehow do this ourselves". One option (though far from ideal) is to supply your own images via the admin 'Style Editor' i.e. replace the 3.x images.

re. 3) If you've restricted email notifications (Forum-wide and Single-Topic Email Nofitication Options) to 'Only Groups specifically...' then users shouldn't see the email notification option in the Popit window. One exception to this is when you've allowed topic participants to receive email notifications. This supercedes the more general Topic Reply security group setting. Hope that helps ? If not, feel free to create a trouble ticket (attn: Carl) and I can take a look at your site settings.

re. 4) You can update the description (to remove the no_spam instruction) via the Wordlet Tool. From the Wordlet Tool main page, search for the word slightly and should see the relevant text to update.

I agree with Kansas City Rick. I just changed over to the 3.0 set and the globe icon is too obscure for its purpose. What options do we have to change/add a text link for these heavily used functions?

One change we made for the eve version is in the Find Tab. It contains these functions as direct links. But within the 3.0 OpenTopic system it would take changes to the image OR pulling out the URLS and coding them into the style -> custom HTML "AFTER Opening Body Tag" so that they appear on all pages.
