I am new to being a moderator. I usually go to "new since your last visit" to view the new messages. The problem is that when I read them and return after a few hours, the same old messages I read are still there. How long does it take for the old messages to disappear? Could I change the setting somewhere so that the messages I read get flushed out immediately? I keep having to write down the time of the last message I read so I can keep track. I apologize if this is not the right area to post this question.

If you simply close the browser this will do it. Or if you wish to disable the 'Remember me' option this will do the same thing but you will have to login each visit. The best plan is just to close down the browser between visits. As long as your browser window is open -- OpenTopic considers you to still be visiting.
