I feel confused about the value of posts.
say, the value of posts is 1280 on author column beside a topic posted on July 7, another value of posts is 1277 on author column beside another topic posted on July 22. How did OT get that posts number? thanks. Ningning |

Heres the scoop,
OpenTopicâ„¢ uses a lot of caching to reduce server load. Basically what this means is that the user statistics that are listed on one of their posts will not update until the thread that the post is in gets added to, or the cache gets cleared. How this explains your situation is this; Between the time from the last post on the thread from the 22nd and the last post on the thread from the 7th your user made 3 posts. Since the thread from the 7th has been most recently updated it has a higher number because the page was re-rendered. This is kind of confusing to explain, and I just hope that I helped you understand it. If I just made it worse, I will try explaining it from a different angle. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help, Jonmark Weber |
