We've started a new forum... still cooking along in stealth mode until we make a public announcement. Once we do make the public announcement our page view and post numbers are going to be pretty low. I have toyed with the idea of hitting my pages several times a day to up the page view count, and creating multiple personalities to start a flame war with myself via forum posts.. but...
Is there any way, perhaps with XSL, to disable page view and post totals so that the low #'s aren't a barrier to readership and posting? Once we get a full head of steam by the fall, I would see turning these counts back on... Best- John Tariot |

On your Control Panel in Look and Feel => Display Options you will find these settings:
Show Total Topics/Posts/Both? Try switching those off first and then let's see if you would like to disable more than that. Regards, Brett Harris |

Hi-
Yep.. have the "Look and Feel" set to show total topics (want that) and hide total posts on the Forum intro page. I am also hiding the member count for now. When you get into a specific forum, it shows how many page views and posts each topic has had-- these are the low numbers that I would like to NOT display for the time being... do-able? Thanks- |

Fortunately, I seem to have gotten a satisfactory answer from Steve Benitez in the ubb.x forum.
