I am having problems with a person posting rather crude pots. I have tried to ban them bth the email address and IP. I am wondering how to change the user from having to be a registered member to post. So how do I chamge the seetings to requier posters to be registered members. I have looked all aoround the control panel, how am I missing it?

Hi Quinton
To require users to register before posting, you need to go to your control panel, choose Categories & Forums and then click on the name of a forum you'd like to make this change to. On the Forum Settings page, from the quick links at the top, choose Forum Security Settings. The settings "Who can post topics?" and "Who can post replies?" will be the ones you'll want to change... Once you're done there, be sure to scroll to the bottom of your page and hit the update button. As for legal action, its difficult as to what can be done, but I'd suggest contacting a lawyer for legal advice.
