I'm investigating the possibility of hosting a backup server on our site using EVE or other forum software on our own webserver. Basically, we'd want to export our topics once or twice per day. We could even switch to that server in the future if we wanted to.

I've looked at Export Content. I guess we would export members, topics and site settings to XML. Develop procedures to map the exported information to the new forums and their import ability. Membership would be replaced each time. Topics could be exported "after a date" and done incrementally.

Does EVE have any special ability to import OpenTopic content.... like especially site settings?
