All of a sudden I'm getting a "Message body field is mandatory" error when posting with attachments.
I'm posting a message in a forum that allows HTML and also attaching a file to the same message (in this case a 48k JPG). All my text is surrounded by HTML and when I click "Post Now" the error appears. To test, I removed the HTML and put regular text in there, again with the same attachment and it still barfed! Then I left off the attachment and everything worked fine! So the issue seems to be with attachments - I double checked the forum settings and everything is in order. I didn't try it in other forums, just the one. Registered users are only allowed to post attachments, and I am obviously one of those! Any ideas? |

This might be a javascript bug where when you add an attachment it doesnt submit the message body with the forum... Could you please put in a ticket so we can track this one down?

This is not a javascript bug.
There have been some intermittent reports of attachments failing in this way but we haven't been able to reproduce the problem. David - when this happens please do a 'view source' and look for the word 'servlet' right near the top. It will look something like this !-- servlet tse001Shang OpenTopic 3.0.6 using standard XSL for board_topic Please copy it to the ticket you opened with Jonmark. This will help up pinpoint whether one particular servlet is involved. Michael Farris Infopop Product Evangelist |
