I'm perusing the export of our forums and there seem to be countless tags for polls... answers, vote counts, etc.... but no tags have corresponding data.

Is the data supposed to be in the export?

If not, why not?

The poll data should be in the XML. If a topic is not a poll, then it will still have the poll xml (with answers, vote counts, etc.), but the elements will be all empty. Try looking through your export for a specific poll that you know exists and you should see the poll data in the XML.
