Can anyone tell me how easy OT will be for someone (like myself)who knows nothing technical to get going on OT? (I'm doing my site in FrontPage 2000 and don't know one line of HTML) This really matters to me, cause based on what I've read on this site, I'm planning on making OT a central part of my site...

OpenTopic will be a cinch(sp?) to administer. If you've installed the UltimateBB Forum system, then you've got nothing whatsoever to worry about.

Even if you haven't, however, setup will simply be as complicated as filling in form fields such as your boards name, contact info, and choosing colors.

This isn't to say that OpenTopic is limited in customization, as the more advanced features (XML/XSL style sheets) will allow complete modification to fit into your existing site's design.

In most cases, Open Topic will be perfect for whatever use its given. With little changes, it won't be much harder than registration on this forum itself was.

thanks Chris, that't what I needed to hear..
I haven't used UBB--although I've read a lot of the dicussions there. I'm just starting up a business, and the interaction aspect will be such a central part, that I'll need the best features with the least hassle (and tech knowledge required). Sounds like OT fits the bill.
Now, If I could only get an accurate estimate of when it will be available...

The website (www.opentopic.com) says Spring 2000, so I'd take that to mean some time in May.
