Hi! I'm from the English Ubi.com forums. A gaming community that's making use of Groupee Community for more than 3 years already. I'm managing 4 of the forums (related to one game) together with 4 other moderators and 2 administrators. Groupee Community is easy to manage for all of us, but there is one thing that frustrates us, especially if it comes to moderating: The fact that the system isn't Firefox supported. Like most internet users from these years, we use Firefox to browse forums and websites. And it gives much glitches:
1: The links to the admin panel and other mangement tools refuse to work. After you click those links nothing happens unless you copy the link to the top of your browser. This could be very annoying. 2: The message table has much glitches under Firefox. After you click the (full edit) reply button, the message table is sometimes filled up with things from the Wordlets or other unlikely things. Also, it sometimes picks the message box pop-up two times when you click the button two times. 3: It takes longer to finish a browser request for most Firefox users. I think because of the produced HTML code. And there were some more small glitches with the layout, but I forget most of them and they aren't important anyway. And another thing we noticed is that the HTML code all of the Groupee Community pages produce looks like it's written 6 years ago. That could be the main reason why the system bugs under Firefox. Maybe the source of the server needs to be recoded someday, that would help much. Remember that I'm not mad at Groupee, I really like the system, the makers of the online community are still good! So my general question is: Will Groupee Community get Firefox support someday? ~Newray |

Hi Newray- many of us here at Groupee use Firefox as our primary browser, and Groupee Community does support that browser. I am not experiencing the things you describe.
It is possible that there is custom HTML (any community admin can customize a community) on your site that is causing problems. I suggest submitting a support ticket with us so we can help you with your problems. Please submit a ticket via: https://www.infopop.com/q/q.php Ted O'Neill Groupee CEO |
