As previously announced, we will be releasing a new service soon. This new service will carry the Groupee name. In order to reduce potential confusion between the new service and our existing hosted community service, we are reverting the existing service’s name back to what it was originally- eve.

This name change only impacts the hosted community service name. Most eve communities are tied to the Groupee Network of registered users and they will continue to be. Similarly, the Groupee Site Payment Service name will not be changing.

The name change for our existing hosted community service will occur prior to the release of the new Groupee service. We expect the existing community service to be rebranded within the next 2-3 weeks. This change will occur as part of our 1.2.14 release.

We will continue to develop and maintain eve, even after the new Groupee service is rolled out. In fact, you can expect at least two new features for eve this summer- enhanced polls and blogs.

While full details about our upcoming Groupee service will be announced when we launch the initial beta, you should expect that accouncement to occur (and the beta to commence) within the next 4-10 weeks. Please note that we will not be making any further comment about the new service until the beta is launched.

We will be closing our Development Drawing Board forum here soon, in order to eliminate potential confusion about the two services. It will return in slightly different form later. Look for major changes to our online community around the time of the launch of the new beta service.
