I only looked at the first page, and I noticed you applied the hover style you used in the nav to the links in the board. I found it kind confusing with the line above the link, it made it seem like the link above the one I was hovering on was active, so I went back and forth a couple times until I figured it out. Just my opinion, but it works great in the nav.
Also, you may want different header/row colors. If you are sticking with the green scheme, choose a darker green for you headers to put some emphasis there. Otherwise, a very nice job! Whack-fa-la-de-rab! |

Callanan,
Hi there. I just registered on your board so I'll need to be approved before I can really dive in, but the following comments are for the first few pages I experienced. That might help a bit. The first thing I noticed was the navigation at the top. While I think topnav is great, in this case it sits right below the users "links" in their browsers and it gets a bit busy visually. I had trouble focusing on them as my favorites links were right there too. One thing that might help is some cell padding in that table. It will create some green "negative space" around the links and the eye might gravitate to them easier. I might also add a few line breaks so the nav is anchored to the bottom part of the cell (still with some padding though). Overall - I like the green (I know you were working with predefined colors). I'm not generally a fan of dark backgrounds but everything I saw on your site reads well. No readability problems or anything. Looking forward to going into the forums for a closer look. Regards, |
