I have a license for the members area for a year that started about a month ago so i assume UBB6 will be out before it expires but will i be able to get it or will i need to get another licnese?

Hi Andrew-

If your Members Area access is still valid, you will be able to download and install UBB6 for free! Your license is non-expiring, so you will never need to purchase another one unless you wish to install another board.

I beg your pardon, kristi, but are you sure about that? I recently had to renew my license to regain access to the Member's Area at a cost of 200 dollars. That was after a year of use. Am I to assume there has been a change in policy since August?

Carmack, you probably got your license when they had the lease option. They no longer have that option which is why you probably had to buy the life-time license just to upgrade. From now on your membership one-year extension should be at the renewal rate.

Carmack-

Member Area Access is only $75 per year (per license). Perhaps you had a leased license that expired- in that case, you would have had to purchase a whole new license. We no longer offer leased licenses, however.

Kristi was correct, if you have a non expiring license, you have access to the Members Area in one year increments, with the first year free.
