It is great the the user entered text for attachments is the mouseover text automatically. Excellent!!!

Sites will mind much less, and it will be easier to appreciate the image and follow it back to appreciate (maybe even buy) more, so my suggestion is simply:

Have the forum software put the url for the inline external site reference for the picture, IE I put "LoveHeart.gif" from "Angels.com" into a post, the mouseover has the full url for the image. Clean, swift, and maybe tripod.com Mad Eek who never allows cross-linking will realize we are giving free advertising, not stealing! Big Grin
